Dr. Ajith George - Consultant EPRR & CBRNE

Hi! I am Dr. Ajith George, Consultant Emergency Preparedness.

I established MINZIRKU to help others develop their Preparedness by utilizing my background as an Emergency Medicine and Pre-Hospital Care doctor, my skills in problem-solving and innovation, and the wealth of knowledge, expertise, technical know-how and experience in Major Incident Management, EPRR (Emergency Preparedness Resilience & Response) and CBRNE (Chemical Biological Radiation Nuclear Explosives) Preparedness that I have gained over the years of my career.

My Preparedness Planning principles are based on maximizing the chances of survival, doing the most for the most, and ensuring that the Response works flawlessly at 03:00 am on a weekend.

As Senior Consultant Emergency Preparedness working for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) Medical, I have the ten years of experience (Sept 2013 to Dec 2023) in planning, developing, networking, and integrating the Emergency Preparedness, Major Incident & CBRNE Preparedness and Response of around 150 medical facilities, 80 ambulances, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), supporting the entire onshore and offshore operations of ADNOC oil company and Group.  Conceptualization and design of the Mobile and Fixed Clinical Decontamination Units, which are the first of its kind in the world, is an example of my achievement at ADNOC. The levels of Preparedness capabilities that I designed to support and protect ADNOC’s Oil & gas operations, worked efficiently in managing COVID-19 as for a biological incident, helps in providing support to the surrounding communities, and resulted in ADNOC’s hospital being designated as the primary receiving hospital for the Nuclear Power Plant. The post of Consultant Emergency Preparedness – Medical Services, was first created at ADNOC, following my appointment.

I have the five years of experience in designing and creating the Emergency Preparedness of Abu Dhabi Emirate’s healthcare system, from scratch, at the Department of Health Abu Dhabi/Health Authority Abu Dhabi from 2008 to 2013, as their first appointed Consultant Emergency Preparedness. Creating the Emergency Preparedness system for healthcare of the country included creating the policies and standards, establishing procedures and protocols, networking of key stakeholders, government agencies, responding organizations, and receiving facilities, developing the infrastructure such as communication systems, establishing the Emergency Operations Centre, and creating the preparedness related trainings, implementation, resource monitoring systems and the country-wide response coordination capabilities.
