CBRNE DECONTAMINATION UNITS
Bringing you the most technologically advanced rapid deployment Decontamination Units on the planet
Revolutionizing your Decontamination capabilities in CBRNE HAZMAT Incidents
Incorporating a decade worth of lessons-learnt and improvements over my pioneering Clinical Decontamination Unit designs
Decontamination Units that are purpose-designed to the way you operate and the conditions in which you may need to operate.
In CBRNE HAZMAT incidents, Early Recognition and Early Identification, along with Early Warning are key capabilities which allow the timely deployment of protective measures and countermeasures. The capability to carry out decontamination and clinical decontamination using purpose-designed Decontamination Units and equipment, close to the site of the incident and/or on recognition of such incidents, allow for containment, limiting the spread of contamination, mitigating the risks to responders and helps prevent further harm to affected individuals from the surface contaminants associated with CBRNE and HAZMAT incidents.
MINZIRKU Decontamination Units are purpose-designed to align with the end-user’s operational roles, capabilities, risks and requirements. These new generation Decontamination Units incorporate significant advancements and lessons-learnt over the Fixed and Mobile Decontamination Units that I initially designed nearly a decade ago, to overcome the challenges of carrying out decontamination and clinical decontamination using outdoor tents/shelters in the middle-eastern environment and in the oil & gas industry settings.
Decontamination is defined as the removal or reduction of hazardous materials to lower the risk of further harm to casualties and/or cross contamination. Clinical Decontamination is the process where contaminated persons are treated individually by trained healthcare professionals using purpose designed decontamination equipment. This is full wet decontamination using Clinical Decontamination Units.
The MINZIRKU Decontamination Unit is inherently designed to provide a safe, rapidly deployable, ready-to-operate, well-lit, temperature controlled, air-flow controlled, air pressure controlled environment, thereby protecting the responders in gas-tight PPEs to carry out their functions, regardless of the type of CBRNE HAZMAT surface contaminant involved, and aimed to contain and limit the spread of contamination, remove and limit the effects of exposure of the contaminant on the affected individuals while continuing to manage the injuries/illness associated with the incident.
Reliability, Robustness, Resilience, Simplicity, Self-sufficiency, Rapidly-deployable and Ready-to-Operate being the key features of the MINZIRKU Decontamination Unit’s design. These trailer-based Units are designed with the flexibility to Respond to Incident locations with the capabilities to access both urban and off-road terrains, having utilities and resource self-sufficiencies to operate in remote, hostile and adverse environments, or to be permanently or semi-permanently located at a Site with the capability to be relocated as needed, or to be incorporated, shore-connected and fixed as part of an existing facility. Depending on the scope of operations, equipment such as on-board fixed and deployable detectors, sensors, imaging cameras, roof-top autonomous UAV drones etc., provide situational assessment and awareness capabilities.
Secondary Functions of the MINZIRKU Decontamination Unit, when decontamination is not indicated, or during evolving incidents, are that the Unit can function as an Incident Command Post, as a Casualty Clearing Station, a place of Shelter, or as a Collection Point for allocation, distribution and replenishment of CBRNE HAZMAT and other equipment resources.
